Ella is a reliable defender. She has quick reaction time on 50/50 ground balls to secure her team possession. Good team defense sliding to ball when needed to help close the lane to cage. Her defensive stance is good by staying in front of her player in 1v1 matchups. Does well communicating in a man-down defensive zone by fielding players and ensuring a good hand-off to her teammates before picking up the next player. She hustles in clearing the ball up field. Ella will continue to improve upon utilizing her non-dominant hand more to be a dual threat as well as recognizing when to clear the ball sooner before pressure.
