Virginia is a talented two-way midfielder. Her contribution all over the field does not go unnoticed. Offensively she has great field awareness recognizing where her teammates are and giving accurate feeds. She dodges and re-dodges well by setting up her lane to cage with good timing and spacing to attack the gaps of the defense by weaving through and finishing strong. Her patience off ball creating opportunities to score by setting picks and working in two-man games is textbook. Defensively she picks off passes routinely with her interceptions. Virginia has excellent stick skills with one-handed snags off the draw, intercepting and handling errant passes in the midfield. Her ability to handle pressure utilizing both hands to get out of a double team while clearing the ball and pushing the pace in transition is superb. She is solid in her 1v1 matchups and keeps her head on a swivel to help slide and crash on team defense. Virginia will continue to push her creativity on the offensive end and keep fine tuning her defensive footwork.
