Re-Cap Of Lax for the Cure High School

Lax for the Cure: High School Recap

With the middle school/youth event wrapping up two weekends ago and the high school competition concluding in dramatic fashion this past weekend, two things are clear: once again, top teams clashed in high-level matchups, and this year there was more on the line than just bragging rights—a record-breaking $471,881 was raised in the fight against breast cancer.

While many championship teams deserve recognition, we first want to highlight the champions of fundraising:

  • Team Champion: Mad Dog West Elite 2030 – $34,329

  • Individual Co-Champions:

    • Ally Martin – Mad Dog West Elite 2030: $32,022

    • Ella Crichton – HoCo Black 2029: $25,659

Teams can be proud of their efforts both on and off the field, playing for a cause bigger than the game. Here’s how things unfolded across the high school divisions—with rematches, ranking shake-ups, and championship glory at stake:

2026A Champion: Top Guns Purple

Long Island’s “B” squad made a statement in the 2026A division, going 3-0-1 in bracket play before powering through playoffs. After victories over Pride Nova Black, Oregon Pride:ADVNC, and Dynasty Elite Camo, and a tie with Steps NJ White, they carried their momentum into the playoffs—defeating LI Legacy White and Yellow Jackets Voss, then earning a decisive 6-1 win over Steps NJ White in a championship rematch.

2026AA Champion: #7 NXT Black
