LWSC Day 2 Re-Cap
Lacrosse World Series Championship – Day 2 Recap
Day 2 at the Lacrosse World Series Championship in Downingtown delivered everything you'd expect from elite 13U competition—intensity, execution, and momentum-shifting performances. After a high-stakes opening day that saw six teams go undefeated, Wednesday separated the real contenders from the pack. With playoff seeds on the line, several teams rose to the occasion and now carry serious momentum into Championship Thursday.
Pool 1 Leader: Towermen (4–1)
After starting 2–1 on Tuesday, the Towermen had something to prove—and they answered the call. On Day 2, they went 2–0, defeating Eclipse Navy 9–6 and edging out True Upstate 2030 by a narrow 7–6 margin. Their ability to stay poised in tight situations has been a key strength. Combined with Tuesday’s win over Prime Time and a clutch bounce-back victory over Shore 2 Shore, the Towermen finished pool play 4–1, earning the #4 seed. They’ll face #5 Duke’s Elite 2030 AA Iverson in what should be a highly competitive quarterfinal.
Pool 2 Leader: Team 91 LI 2030 Cyclones (5–0)
Team 91 LI Cyclones were dominant from the first whistle and flawless on Day 2. They swept the day with a 9–1 win over Harvest, a 9–6 victory against Igloo Black Ice 2.0, and a convincing 12–5 performance versus Duke’s Elite 2030 AA Iverson. That followed up their Day 1 blowouts of Utah Prime and Team Israel, bringing them to a perfect 5–0. With a +38 goal differential, the Cyclones secured the #2 seed and now prepare for a Thursday showdown with #7 True IL 2030.
Pool 3 Leader: LI Express 2030 Schwalje (4–1)
LI Express Schwalje responded to Tuesday’s split with a dominant Day 2 showing. They opened with a 7–4 win over True IL 2030, rolled past Carolina Gold 8–2, and capped the day with a 10–3 win over BBL Shore LWSC. Their only loss came to Philadelphia Freedom on Day 1, but since then, they’ve looked like a different team. Now riding a three-game win streak, Express Schwalje earned the #3 seed and will face #6 3D GA on Thursday morning.
Pool 4 Leader: 2Way World Series (5–0)
2Way World Series continues to look like the team to beat. After dominating Day 1 with a +22 goal differential, they came back on Wednesday and added three more decisive wins: 12–1 over Orange Crush, 15–3 over Beast Lacrosse, and 10–4 over BBL Central LWSC. Their speed, depth, and chemistry are unmatched, and at 5–0, they earned the top overall seed. They’ll square off against #8 Eclipse Navy in the quarterfinals.
With pool play complete and the bracket set, Thursday promises high drama as the top eight teams face off. Momentum matters—and right now, teams like 2Way, Team 91 Cyclones, LI Express Schwalje, and the Towermen are clicking at the perfect time. It’s win or go home from here, and these clubs are all chasing one goal: the Lacrosse World Series Championship.
